The Great Outdoors

Imagine if the Eagles were cool.

It started out as just Adam Nation’s deal, but it has evolved into something so much more. Remember Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young? It’s like that, except there is no Stills. Or Crosby. And just a dash of Nash. Yeah.  It’s like Neil Young with a hint of something more delivered through four different singer/songwriters. Different but cohesive. Folk but rock. Smart but fun.

I like this outfit a lot. They could very well be The Eagles of the new millenium. But, you know, cool.

“Food, Booze, and Entertainment is as Canadian as Gordon Lightfoot, mackinaw jackets, and CN Rail. Singer-songwriter Adam Nation, who fronts the Great Outdoors, is clearly enamoured with our country’s myths and romances, its winters, and its landscapes…It’s a well-trodden path for Canuck singer-songwriters, but Nation walks it better than most, delivering subtle yet crafty hooks…” - Georgia Straight
