Don’t let the word ‘September’ get you down; there are still three weeks of summer left. Make the most of them doing things like going to the beach, hosting barbeques, drinking blackberry mojitos on patios with barely legal tarts in summer dresses, and, of course, doing your goddamned disc mail-outs for your record label. Your Uncle Jon hates mail-outs. Someone get me a mojito. And a barely legal tart.

 THE GREAT OUTDOORS – Weeds

Greetings music fans.

Perhaps one of my many followers (read: 16 followers) has noticed that I am no longer including a headline, just the date now. That is due to nothing more than a lack of creativity. Get used to it. Your Uncle Jon has a lot more where that came from. 

Also been asked by everyone at the label if I could “tone it down with the tarts”. (You know it was RC that said that. No one else talks like such a dandy. Except Wegelin.) Anyways, since we have these two huge albums coming out, they are worried about new visitors to the site and the impression they will be left with. I told those cats the impression people will get is that we are fucking cool. But my little women’s studies group doesn’t see it that way. So yeah, I am toning it down for a bit. But just temporarily. Then I will come back strong… strong and tartier than ever.

Greetings music fans.

Grant writing all f-ing weekend. Something I wouldn’t have to do if one of my bands made some money. So yeah, because of their shortcomings, you get a short post today. Blame them.

Before I go, I should mention that the winner of last week’s ‘Name the Adult Actress’ contest was none other than premier Gordon Campbell who wrote in the correct answer: Lucy Lee. Unfortunately for old Gordo, he won’t be receiving the prize of a new Kingsway release and new Great Outdoors release. Why? Because douche bags are exempt from winning DDG contests (that’s why I never bother to enter).
