Yes, I am a little pissed about the Saints not covering the spread in yesterday’s NFL opener, but I am way more pissed about NBC choosing Dave Mathews to be the artist that performed at the NFL season opener. WTF (as the kids text these days). Dave Mathews Band? Couldn’t you get anyone better? Hell, Engelbert Humperdinck is touring again. Why not get him in for the Sunday night game and we can really gay-it-up. Idiots.

Enjoy the games this weekend regardless. And look for Donovan to do a real number on the Cowboys. My man’s got something to prove. (That last line sounded a little gay, didn’t it? Some of that Dave Mathews performance must have rubbed off on me.)

What a week. The little childrens have all finally fucked off back to school, your Uncle Jon hit a bit score betting that the Boise/Virginia Tech game would stay within three points, and the new Great Outdoors album should be in my hot little hands later this week. (Actually, my hands are cold, clammy, and abnoramally large (Hello, ladies…). But I digress.)

I think I will get high, go to the playground, and take my pick of free swings.  Ah, September – you really are the most wonderful time of the year.

Got to get to watching Sons of Anarchy Season 2 on DVD. I love it, but it fills me with regret. I should have been smart, followed in my father’s footsteps, and joined a motorcycle gang way back when instead of trying to make a career out of music. I would be so much further ahead. And, ironically, would have dealt with less douche bags and criminals along the way. Such is life.
