Greetings music fans.

Didn’t make it down to the show last night. Too sick still. Forced to stay home and watch the box mother. Jay Leno had Dana Carvey on as his first guest. Dana was doing all sorts of fresh impressions, including Jimmy Stewart and George Bush Sr. Bottom line, it made me even sicker.

But the free download of the week is sure to make me feel a little better: Twister. This is from the Counterrevolutionaries’ first EP, Sorry You Can’t Come Down (back when they were called The Mad Dash). This is easily one of my desert island songs. Seriously. Right up there with Smokey Robinson and the Miracles’ ‘Tracks of my Tears’ or the Isley Brothers’ ‘This Old Heart of Mine’. (But NOT the Rod Stewart versions. Blasphemy. Semen-filled-stomach blasphemy. But I digress.)

Alright. Have to go get healthy for next Friday’s huge show at the Wise Hall. Since I didn’t make it out last night, you can buy me two drinks at that show.

Shine on you crazy diamonds.
